Cannes Film Festival in France MAY

The Cannes Film Festival is an industry-only event, meaning credentials are required for entry. With a little luck and a lot of patience, students and other cinephiles gather around the edges of the red carpet, hoping to score seats to premieres. Using persistence and winning smiles, many gain access to screenings and experience all the excitement that goes with them.

Attendees are photographed outside the Hotel Barrire Le Majestic Cannes during the Cannes Film Festival on May 20, 2017. For 70 years, the Croisette Boulevard has always been the place to watch the rich, dandy and all others promenade.

Uluru Camel Cup saddles up for another year of races in Australia’s NT red centre-May

Photo: Camels can run up to 30kph so jockeys need to be experienced cameleers. (ABC News: Caroline Winter)

On Saturday, there’ll be eight races before the main event, the Uluru Camel Cup.

Fifteen camels will run the 500-metre track, with Trigger the one to watch.

It is said that all the camels’ saddles are custom-made and fit “like a shoe” for each different hump.

The camels can run at more than 30 kilometres per hour, so jockeys need experience before sliding into the saddle.>>>>> MORE HERE
